Before using any new essential oils, we recommend testing a small area of skin to make sure there is no adverse reaction. Everybody is different, and so are reactions. Just because an oil works for your sister or friend doesn’t mean your skin will accept it easily.

Patch tests can reveal unknown sensitivities or allergies and allows for quick treatment if there is a reaction. Patch tests are also helpful if you know about allergies and sensitivities but want to double-check a specific oil is the right fit for you.

How to Patch Test

It's important to test such things. Actually, I prefer to test every service I'd like to get. For example, when I've needed to do my assignment for cheap online, I've also tested this resource. Studying can be hard, but it's interesting
  1. Make sure you have properly diluted the oil (see this article to learn more). Don’t use undiluted essential oils on your skin.
  2. Place 1-2 drops of diluted essential oil on your inner forearm.
  3. Apply bandage.
  4. If any irritation or reaction occurs, remove the bandage immediately and wash the area with soap and water.
  5. If no irritation occurs after 48 hours, the oil should be safe to use on your skin.

*certain medications can change your sensitivity to products. Always ask your doctor if you have specific questions regarding reactions.
